Wake Tech Community College is excited to offer Career Exploration for Animal Lovers

Dates: June 4 to June 28

Location: Adult Education Center

1920 Capital Blvd. 

The course is free for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed.  The class will help participants:

·       *  Learn what positions are available that involve work with animals. 

·        * Discuss the knowledge, attitudes, and skills for animal care positions. 

·        * Identify who the clients are for animal care. 

·        * Demonstrate methods to safely interact with animals. 

·        * Review opportunities for self-employment positions in animal care. 

·         * Identify methods to develop relationships with clients. 

·         * Develop skills and strategies for obtaining gainful employment. 

·         * Explore additional training opportunities.
